In today’s Living The Retirement Lifestyle Podcast we meet up with Arthur Sundqvist across the other side of the world in Auckland on the North Island of New Zealand. In 2019 Arthur gave up his career and home in Sweden and set sail for a new life with his wife.
We got to hear what fuelled his desire to give up everything and pursue a dream, the challenges he faced and what it’s like living the retirement lifestyle ‘his way‘ and turning his dream into reality.
How he had a dream of living on board his yacht with his wife and sailing to many places around the world… the courage it took to to leave everything behind and start a new kind of life and a business to support his dreams
He knew that eLearning and online education was a booming business so he embraced this opportunity and invested in his own education to expand his skillset just as he did in his traditional business as an architect in Sweden
How like us he realised that unless he made a change that he would be working in that business until the end of his days.
He says that when you open your eyes to what is around you and have the courage to take the steps to follow your dreams anything is possible

“Sometimes you just need to take some steps back and have a closer look at life”
We couldn’t agree more
Arthur and his wife are living the retirement lifestyle and to sum up what they do to support their dreams as
“Work like a captain and play like a pirate!”
